Last updated: 13 October 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website https://signetringco.com and the purchase of products and services supplied by Signet Ring Co. ("we", "us", "our").

Our products include bespoke signet rings, personalised jewellery, engraved jewellery, vintage and pre-owned rings, and associated jewellery products and services (collectively referred to as "Products").

By accessing our website, placing an order or requesting our services, you agree to these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before making a purchase. We recommend retaining a copy for your records.

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

2. Our Products

Signet Ring Co. specialises in bespoke and personalised signet rings, including individually designed pieces, family crests, heraldic engravings, initials, monograms and other custom designs.

We endeavour to ensure that all product descriptions, specifications, photographs and pricing information displayed on our website are accurate.

However, please note:

  • Product photographs and computer-generated renders are provided for illustrative purposes.
  • Colours and finishes may vary slightly depending on lighting, screen settings and the characteristics of precious metals.
  • Due to the nature of bespoke jewellery manufacturing, minor variations in appearance, dimensions, engraving depth and finishing may occur.
  • Handcrafted and individually finished products may differ slightly from the images displayed.
  • The availability of materials, designs and products may change without prior notice.

These variations do not affect your statutory rights where a Product is faulty or not as described.

3. Bespoke Orders & Personalisation

Many of our Products are made specifically to each customer's requirements.

When placing a bespoke or personalised order, you are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted is correct, including:

  • Ring size and measurements.
  • Selected metal and finish.
  • Ring shape and style.
  • Initials, names, dates or other personalised text.
  • Family crests, monograms, artwork or heraldic designs.
  • Engraving preferences, including raised or recessed engraving.
  • Any additional specifications or instructions.

Where applicable, we may provide a digital design, illustration or proof for your approval before production begins.

Once a design has been approved and production has commenced, changes may not be possible. Any requested amendments may result in additional charges or an extended production timeframe.

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights or permissions to reproduce any artwork, logos, family crests or other designs supplied to us.

We reserve the right to refuse designs that may infringe intellectual property rights, contain unlawful material or otherwise be unsuitable for reproduction.

4. Ring Sizing

It is the customer's responsibility to provide the correct ring size when ordering.

We strongly recommend obtaining an accurate measurement from a professional jeweller before placing an order.

Because bespoke rings are manufactured to individual specifications, incorrect sizing supplied by the customer may result in additional costs for resizing, alteration or replacement.

Not all ring designs can be resized, particularly those featuring intricate engravings, full-band detailing or certain metal compositions.

Please contact us before ordering if you require assistance with sizing.

Nothing in this section affects your rights if we manufacture a ring in a size that differs from the size agreed in your order.

5. Orders & Acceptance

All orders placed through our website are subject to acceptance and availability.

When placing an order:

  1. Select your desired Product and any available personalisation options.
  2. Review your chosen specifications and order details.
  3. Provide accurate billing, contact and delivery information.
  4. Complete the checkout and payment process.

Once your order has been submitted, you will receive an acknowledgement confirming that we have received it.

This acknowledgement does not necessarily constitute acceptance of your order.

A legally binding contract is formed when we issue an order acceptance confirmation.

We reserve the right to decline an order where a Product is unavailable, an obvious pricing error has occurred, the requested design cannot reasonably be manufactured or we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.

Where payment has already been received for an order we cannot accept, a full refund will be issued.

6. Pricing & Payment

All prices displayed on https://signetringco.com are shown in British Pounds Sterling (GBP), unless otherwise indicated.

Prices include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges and any additional fees will be displayed or communicated before an order is confirmed.

We reserve the right to update our prices without notice. However, changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

Bespoke quotations may vary depending on:

  • Precious metal selection and prevailing material costs.
  • Ring dimensions, size and weight.
  • Complexity of engraving or personalisation.
  • Additional design or manufacturing requirements.

Payment must be made using an accepted payment method or another arrangement agreed with us.

Production may not begin until the required payment or deposit has been received.

If a pricing error is identified before an order has been accepted, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price.

7. Manufacturing & Production Times

Many of our products are manufactured to order and require additional time for design, casting, engraving, polishing and finishing.

Any production times provided on our website or during correspondence are estimates unless a specific deadline has been expressly agreed.

Production times may vary due to:

  • Design complexity.
  • Material availability.
  • Engraving requirements.
  • Design revisions or approval delays.
  • Workshop capacity.
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to complete orders within the estimated timeframe and notify customers of any significant delays.

If we are unable to fulfil an agreed delivery deadline, your rights under applicable consumer legislation will continue to apply.

8. Delivery & Shipping

We aim to dispatch completed orders as promptly and securely as possible.

Delivery charges, available shipping methods and estimated delivery times will be communicated during checkout or before the order is confirmed.

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery details.

We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer, although we will make reasonable efforts to assist in resolving delivery issues.

Where appropriate, orders may be sent using tracked and insured delivery services.

For international deliveries, customers may be responsible for applicable customs duties, import taxes or additional charges imposed by their country of residence. These charges are not included unless expressly stated.

For consumer purchases, responsibility for the Products generally passes to you when the Products are delivered into your physical possession or that of a person identified by you to receive them.

Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us promptly if anything appears damaged, missing or incorrect.

9. Cancellations

We understand that circumstances may change after an order has been placed.

For standard, non-personalised Products purchased online, eligible UK consumers generally have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving their order, in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.

Bespoke and personalised Products

The statutory right to cancel for a change of mind generally does not apply to Products made to your specifications or clearly personalised, including:

  • Custom-manufactured signet rings.
  • Rings created to individual design specifications.
  • Products featuring personalised names, initials or dates.
  • Custom family crests, monograms or heraldic engravings.
  • Other jewellery made specifically to a customer's requirements.

If you wish to cancel a bespoke order before production has begun, please contact us as soon as possible. We will review your request and confirm whether cancellation is possible.

Once manufacturing or personalisation has commenced, cancellation may not be possible.

These provisions do not affect your legal rights where Products are faulty, incorrectly supplied or not as described.

10. Returns & Refunds

We take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our jewellery and want every customer to be satisfied with their purchase.

Standard Products

Eligible non-personalised Products may be returned in accordance with your statutory cancellation rights.

If you exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us within the applicable cancellation period and return the Product within 14 days of that notification.

You will generally be responsible for return postage when cancelling because you have changed your mind, unless otherwise agreed.

We recommend returning valuable jewellery using a tracked and appropriately insured delivery service.

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method, within the timeframes required by applicable law.

We may make deductions for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the Product.

Bespoke and Personalised Products

Custom-made and personalised Products cannot generally be returned simply because you have changed your mind or no longer require the Product.

However, if your item arrives faulty, damaged, incorrectly manufactured or materially different from the agreed specification, please contact us so that we can investigate and arrange an appropriate remedy.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts your statutory consumer rights.

11. Faulty or Damaged Products

All Products supplied by Signet Ring Co. must meet the standards required under applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Products must be:

  • Of satisfactory quality.
  • Fit for their intended purpose.
  • As described and agreed at the time of purchase.

If you believe your Product is faulty, please contact us with your order details and a description of the issue, together with photographs where possible.

Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, we may offer a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse or unauthorised alterations are not generally considered manufacturing defects.

Nothing in these Terms limits any legal remedies available to you.

12. Engraving & Design Accuracy

Engraving is a highly detailed process, and the finished appearance may vary slightly depending on the selected metal, ring dimensions and design complexity.

We offer different engraving treatments, including raised and recessed engraving where available.

We aim to reproduce approved designs as accurately as reasonably possible.

However, extremely intricate artwork may require adjustments to ensure that it can be successfully manufactured at the chosen size.

Any material design changes will be discussed with you where appropriate before production proceeds.

Once a final design has been approved, errors in customer-supplied text, artwork or specifications may not qualify for a free replacement unless the finished Product differs from the approved design or is otherwise faulty.

13. Vintage & Pre-Owned Jewellery

Where vintage or pre-owned Products are offered, these items may display characteristics consistent with their age and previous use.

We aim to describe the condition of each item accurately and highlight significant imperfections where applicable.

Minor signs of age, natural patina or previously disclosed wear do not necessarily constitute faults.

Vintage items may be one-of-a-kind and subject to limited availability.

Your statutory rights continue to apply to all Products, including vintage and pre-owned jewellery.

14. Care & Maintenance

Precious metal jewellery requires appropriate care to maintain its appearance and condition.

We recommend:

  • Avoiding contact with harsh chemicals and abrasive substances.
  • Removing jewellery during activities that may cause impact or scratching.
  • Cleaning jewellery using suitable products and methods.
  • Storing jewellery securely when not in use.
  • Seeking professional advice before attempting alterations or repairs.

Normal wear, scratches and gradual changes in finish may occur through everyday use.

Signet Ring Co. is not responsible for damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper maintenance or unauthorised modification, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Intellectual Property

All website content, including photographs, product renders, illustrations, branding, logos, text, design elements and other original materials, is owned by or licensed to Signet Ring Co., unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially use our content without prior written permission.

Where customers provide original artwork or designs for personalisation, they retain any intellectual property rights they lawfully hold in those materials.

By submitting artwork, you grant us permission to use and reproduce it solely as reasonably necessary to design, manufacture and fulfil your order, unless otherwise agreed.

16. Website Use

You agree to use our website lawfully and responsibly.

We reserve the right to restrict access where necessary to protect our customers, business or website security.

17. Privacy & Personal Information

We respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal information responsibly.

We collect and process personal information as necessary to manage orders, provide customer support, deliver Products and operate our business.

Further information about how we collect, store and use personal data can be found in our Privacy Policy, available on our website.

18. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
  • Breach of statutory consumer rights.
  • Any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Subject to these protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

We are not liable for business losses arising from consumer purchases, including loss of profits, revenue or commercial opportunities.

Our liability will always be subject to applicable consumer protection legislation.

19. Events Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including disruption to transport networks, supplier shortages, natural disasters, industrial disputes or other unforeseen events.

If such an event affects your order, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and take appropriate steps to minimise disruption.

Your statutory rights relating to cancellation, delivery and refunds remain unaffected.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices, website functionality or legal requirements.

Updated Terms will be published on https://signetringco.com.

The Terms applicable to an order will generally be those in effect at the time the order was accepted, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory legal protections available to you in your country of residence.

Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts applicable under relevant consumer legislation.
