A comfortable fit makes all the difference to a ring you'll wear for years. Before ordering, take a little time to confirm your size accurately.

The most reliable option is a professional fitting. Visit a local jeweller and ask them to measure the specific finger on which you'll wear your signet ring.
Ask for your UK ring size, and check the fit over your knuckle as well as at the base of your finger.
Signet rings often have a broader band than a delicate everyday ring. If possible, try a band of similar width before confirming your size.

Measure the right finger
Finger sizes differ between hands. Measure the finger you intend to wear the ring on, rather than using the size of another ring.
Choose the right moment
Finger size changes with temperature, activity and time of day. Avoid measuring when your hands are unusually cold, hot or swollen.
Check the knuckle
The ring should slide over your knuckle with gentle resistance and sit securely without pinching or turning excessively.
How should it feel?
Your signet ring should feel comfortably snug at the base of your finger, while still being removable without excessive force.
- Too loose: it spins freely or may slip off when your hands are cold.
- Too tight: it pinches, feels uncomfortable or is difficult to remove.
- Just right: it passes over the knuckle with slight resistance and stays comfortably in place.
